Before joining the team in 2009, James had his own coaching practice that he has since seamlessly transitioned into his role at Building Champions. He also worked in the non-profit sector for nearly 20 years, founding, building, and leading organizations from the ground up, and has seven years experience in retail management.
A gifted communicator and leader, James was able to combine his strategic planning skills with his passion to see people change, to create environments that allowed both organizational and personal growth for his teams. His ability to thrive in these environments and create dynamic teams makes him an especially valuable coach to business professionals and managers.
James is an accomplished speaker with engagements for audiences large and small in the non-profit, corporate, and academic arenas. He holds both a bachelors and a Masters' degree and has held adjunct faculty positions teaching classes on leadership development and interpersonal relationship and communications.
Outside the office, James enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and their three children, Nathan, Brandon, and Kaeli.
