Jim Whitling

Jim Whitling is the Chief Human Resources Officer at ChenMed since 2017.   Since Jim joined, ChenMed has experienced tremendous growth in number of patients served, revenue, locations and employees.  By the end of 2022, ChenMed will have increased their employee population by almost 200%.  Jim is a member of the Executive Team, reporting directly to CEO, Christopher Chen.

Prior to ChenMed, Jim developed extensive experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, and consumer markets. Beginning in 1998, Jim worked at ALCON, where he held senior positions within the company’s human resources department for 12 years and then became a vice president and region head.

As a Vice President and region head at ALCON, Jim was a strategic advisor to five C-level executives, including the Region President of North America and the Global Commercial Franchise & Strategy Heads. Throughout his career, Jim has led and managed the human resources functions for thousands of associates.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in human resources management from the University of Texas at Arlington.
