Kirsten Chong

Director of Systems & Technology

As our Director of Systems & Technology, Kirsten Chong leads the company’s technology strategy and day-to-day systems excellence. She partners with Operations to design and execute a forward-looking IT roadmap, manages key vendor relationships to maximize value, and leads the integration of our technology platforms. Kirsten ensures friendly, prompt tech support for clients, staff, and coaches while upholding robust security and compliance standards that safeguard our company’s data and systems.

Prior to joining Building Champions in 2020, Kirsten worked in management at a professional e-learning organization, where she oversaw the Live Training department, led a team of 17 remote instructors, and implemented an event management system to support compliance with the State of California’s strict licensing requirements. Previously, she served on staff at her church, where she supported technology needs, coordinated events, managed 150 volunteers, and implemented an online planning platform for the organization. She also helped design similar planning structures for two other local non-profit organizations. Together, these experiences shaped Kirsten’s ability to bring structure to complexity, improve processes, and support people through change.

Outside of work, Kirsten volunteers in various church-based roles, including helping oversee systems for ticketed community events and co-leading a monthly gathering for moms with young children. She is passionate about serving others with empathy and care, and continues to seek out resources to support women through difficult situations. Kirsten and her husband reside in Tualatin, Oregon, with their two kids. She loves planning adventures near and far, with Zihuatanejo, Mexico currently at the top of her travel list.
